All you have to do is stand close to the lock with your smartphone, key or fob. When the lock beeps, turn the knob to unlock and then use the handle to open your door. From the outside, if you close the door using the handle only, the lock will remain unlocked because there is no automatic locking. Once inside, however, you have to turn the knob (like a physical key) to close the door.
