The Smart TRV runs on either 2x LR06/AA alkaline batteries (supplied) or 2x rechargeable Ni-MH batteries, guaranteeing a battery life of 2 years (replace both batteries at the same time). It is best to use batteries from well-known brands, as battery quality can affect battery life.
