To deactivate the spanner please follow the below steps :

- Turn the dial to the POWER symbol and press and hold the "i" button for 5 seconds to get to the advanced menu

- Press button "2" once

- Press the "OK" button 5 times to get to menu "2-07"

- Using the "+" and "-" buttons either reset the reminder to 365 days or deactivate the reminder by choosing "---"

- Press "OK" to confirm

- Press "OK" two more times to get back to the  advanced menu, and turn the dial clockwise to return to your normal operating mode.
