Frequently Asked Questions

What should I do in case of power outage or internet loss with my Tydom 2.0 ?

Delta Dore continues to protect your home, even during a power cut or lost internet connection. Here’s how it works:

If there is a power outage, e.g. during a thunderstorm, don’t touch anything. The Tydom 2.0 has a “mains supply error” feature that tells the Tydom to switch to battery power.

Alarms continue to be transmitted for 24 hours after the loss of power or internet connection. The alarm can also be controlled by telephone transmission using the voice call system. The control unit calls you and you can control it with the keypad on your phone.

What happens if there is a power outage or lost internet connection?

  • As soon as the power goes out, your Tydom will beep every 10 seconds for 5 minutes.
  • After 5 minutes without power, the Tydom reports the outage to the control unit. The control unit beeps. The Tydom sends you a text message to notify you of the power outage and continues to transmit alarms by calls and text message. However, it can no longer be controlled remotely.

What happens if the power or internet connection is not restored after 24 hours ?

  • If the power is not back on after 24 hours, the Tydom will switch to energy savings mode, and calls will longer be able to be transmitted. Your history will show “switched off”.
  • If the power is not back on after 28 hours, your history will show “supervision”. Your Tydom will no longer be functional.

Transmission will become operational again once power is restored, and your history will show “start” and then “end of detection”.
