The smart radiator thermostat: what is it?

A smart radiator thermostat is an intelligent device that is fitted to hot-water radiators to control the temperature precisely and individually.

Unlike a conventional thermostatic radiator valve, it can be controlled from your smartphone. You can set the desired temperature in each room fitted with a smart radiator thermostat head and tailor your heating to your routine, so you can stay in control wherever you are.

This provides greater comfort in everyday life and reduces energy wastage.

The Smart TRV simply replaces your existing thermostatic radiator valve and is compatible with most hot-water radiators supplied by a gas, oil or wood-fired boiler, or a heat pump. 
Thanks to its built-in intelligence, it analyses the thermal behaviour of your home in order to anticipate your heating needs and to reach the desired temperature at just the right time. Each room is heated according to your actual needs and lifestyle.

Choosing the right smart radiator thermostat 

The choice of a smart radiator thermostat head depends on several key criteria: control accuracy, ease of use, battery life, features and compatibility with your heating system. 

Window-opening detection function: The smart TRV detects when a window is opened by analysing changes in the room temperature and temporarily stops heating the room.

Quiet operation: Discreet and quiet, the smart radiator thermostat operates at less than 30 dB* to ensure thermal comfort without any distracting noise, even in living rooms or bedrooms.  

Locking profiles: Three locking profiles are available, depending on the type of housing: partial, intermediate or full.  

Absence management: the Smart TRV allows you to set an appropriate temperature when the property is unoccupied and to adjust the minimum temperature.  

Child lock: a child safety feature prevents unwanted changes to the set temperature, giving occupants peace of mind and keeping the chosen settings in place.  

Humidity level: via the Delta Dore app, the Smart raditor thermostat allows you to view the humidity level in the room where it is installed. Your customers can then see when they need to ventilate the room to improve air quality.
